A strategy for remembering sight words. I put this kind of plastic strips everywhere so that children remember the names of things effortlessly.

Use of technology

This is just one of the ways to practice spelling. It helps me provide different choices for students easily.

Pajama day

Yesterday, we enjoyed our annual Pajama day! It is one of the school's play-based, child-centered instructional approaches.  Look at their faces! They are pretending to sleep but cannot stop giggling!

To review what they learned yesterday, I asked my students to list the words in pairs. They seemed to feel more responsible for their learning and worked on the task enthusiastically.

Letter and color recognition lesson

How can you make your flower colorful? My students in nursery and K1 worked on this activity merrily. It included the three steps: trace words or letters, read them out and match the colors and their names. I clearly saw that it allowed for students' comprehensible input+i.

Collaborative learning

Collaborative learning definitely makes student learning more meaningful because it allows students to talk about what they think, help each other and try to reach a higher point. These young students also seem to enjoy the moment.

Making a sentence

All of my 5-old year students made the same mistake. Soon after I asked them the question, " What time do you eat lunch?", they found what was wrong with this sentence. Smart kiddos!
